Dusty’s Originals Atelier

Project Overview

Dusty’s Originals Atelier creates handcrafted hats designed to be as individual as the people who wear them. Working from Sturgis, South Dakota, Dusty combines traditional hatmaking techniques with an artistic, fashion-forward approach to create distinctive pieces with their own character and story.

The website needed to reflect that same sense of craftsmanship and individuality. Solid Ground developed a rich, editorial-inspired design built around Dusty’s photography, story, and creative process. Warm neutrals, deep burgundy and black, restrained typography, and large visual sections give the site an elevated feel while keeping the handmade nature of the work front and center.

The finished site introduces visitors to Dusty’s work, explains her custom process, showcases completed originals, and creates a clear path from discovering her hats to starting a conversation about a piece of their own.
